Voicemail FAQs
1st - Change Your Password
Dial 3600
Enter the old password [for new accounts use 0000 (four zeros)]
When the voice prompt ends press 3
Press 1
Press 5 and follow the prompts from there.
Exit by pressing the * (asterisk) key 3 times. Each asterisk will back the system to the last function or menu.
2nd - Setup Your Voice-Mail Outgoing Messages
Dial 3600
Enter your password.
When the voice prompt ends press 3
Standard greeting message - 3
Phone busy message - 4
Out of office message - 6
Exit by pressing the * (asterisk) key 3 times. Each asterisk will back the system to the last function or menu.
3rd – Set the "Name" for the Automated Directory
Just a name here – When searching for an individual’s extension on the 353-333 main line the voiced name will be given for your extension.
Dial 3600
Enter your password.
When the voice prompt ends press 3
Press 1
Press 5, follow the prompts from there
Exit by pressing the * (asterisk) key 3 times. Each asterisk will back the system to the last function or menu.
Finally - Set Your Voice-Mail Answering Feature
Take the handset off the hook press #3(Pound then three), dial 3600 (this will establish a voicemail rollover when not answered).
Hang-up
Press #4 (Pound then four), dial 3600 (this will establish a voicemail rollover when not answered).
1. On campus dial 3600
2. Enter your voicemail access code
3. Use the key below to control your voicemail listening options
1. Dial (615) 353-3600 or Ext. 3600 on campus.
2. When the announcement starts, Press the pound sign (#).
3. You will be prompted to enter your mailbox number.
4. Key the last four digits of your office phone number. (Voicemail Box)
5. You will then be prompted for your pass code.
→ Key your pass code.
6. Follow the automated voice prompts to record your message.
When you are finished, press the star key (*) twice.
Hang up.
1. Dial your assigned work phone number
2. Dial # and follow prompts
