Adobe PDF Application Licensing, Updating On & Off Campus Using Employee NSCC Email Credential Authentication
If a “Sign In” screen appears when attempting to open an Adobe application, notably PDF, you must authenticate the NSCC license by doing the following…
1. Under “Email Address,” type your full NSCC email address then click the “Continue” button.
Email address should be in the NSCC employee format. Example: John Doe would be firstname.lastname@example.org.
2. When prompted, click “Company or School Account…”
At this point if you are logged onto your office – on campus – computer or via Remote Desktop, your credentials will be automatically added to the Adobe products installed on your computer and your files will open without further licensing login prompts.
Additional Login Step
During the Adobe update, you may further receive a prompt to enter a password in a Microsoft Login screen similar to the one that is required for accessing employee (Office 365) email. Enter your myNSCC password.
Off Campus Full Functionality & Updating NSCC Laptop Computers
For NSCC laptops in use at home, one can use a browser to simply read PDF files, but should use VPN and remote desktop to their office computer for other versions of Adobe that provide higher functionality. As a best practice, when periodically visiting campus bring the laptop with you and connect to the NSCCWIRELSS network. In this way, the computer will receive Adobe application as well as other important licensing and security updates.
